Grief Counselling

When we experience a loss, the world doesn’t stand still and sometimes we feel pressure to get over it and move on. Grief is processed in individual ways, even if others are experiencing the same gap in their lives. Whether you’re prepared or not, whether you’re experiencing the loss of a family member, a friend, a pet, a colleague, a dream or a way of life, you have the right to mourn, to talk, to be heard, to adapt in your own way and your own time.

Couples Counselling

A couple is not a unit, it is often two individuals from different backgrounds, with different values and support bases sharing a space. Add financial worries, children, illness or infidelity to the mix and the foundation of any relationship will be rocked. Talking in a safe space to an unbiased, non-judgemental counsellor is the best way to find a holistic way to relate and remember where you want to be.

Trauma Counselling

Trauma isn’t immediate, adrenalin gets you through the moment and, if you’re surrounded by experts and family members keeping you together, it can be days or even weeks before you realise you’re locking the door too many times, watching your hands shake on the steering wheel at red robots or you’re too tired to make supper and you can’t pick a pair of shoes to wear to work. Everyone seems to have forgotten all about it, but you haven’t. It’s a process, and you don’t have to do it alone.

That’s what I’m here for.

Individual Counselling

‘What would happen if…?

If you came to therapy in slippers?

If you ordered takeaways because you were too tired to cook? If you put the sheets on the bed without ironing them?

If you took leave just because you were tired?

If you never got over your loss?

Never got used to being alone?

In my private counselling practice, my safe haven, we can work through those fears and questions, the judgemental self-talk, the values that stop us from feeling safe or taking time to look after ourselves and heal. That’s what I’m here for

Parenting Plans

A parenting plan is a child custody plan that is negotiated by parents with the help of a social worker or qualified third party and which may be included in a marital separation agreement or final decree of divorce.

A parenting plan is essentially a co-parenting solution providing a roadmap directing how children will be raised after separation or divorce

Aspects that should be included in a Parenting Plan?
  • Physical custody.
  • Legal custody (authority to make major decisions)
  • Child support.
  • Exchanging children.
  • Transporting children.
  • Access to records and information.
  • Adjustments when the children reach certain ages.
Parenting plans need to be signed by the parents and approved by the court before it is legally binding on the parents.

I can help you create a parenting plan solution that keeps the children’s best interests in consideration.
